NextFace as an Omegle alternative

If what you liked about Omegle was the simplicity, one stranger, one Next button, nothing to sign up for, NextFace is built for the same habit. Below: what carries over, what doesn’t, and what we are not.

What’s the same

You open a page, you’re paired with someone, you talk. There’s nothing to fill in and no form standing between you and the first conversation. When it’s not working, you press Next and somebody else is there. That loop is the whole product, on Omegle and on NextFace.

It runs in the browser on a phone or a laptop. Nothing to install, on either.

What’s different

Next doesn’t recycle people. On Omegle, a skipped stranger could be back a few taps later. On NextFace, the person you skip is benched for a while before they can reach you again. It’s the thing the site is named after, and it’s explained on the home page.

Video first, with controls. Every chat starts on camera, and the camera is yours to manage: switch it off and the conversation continues as voice, soften your picture with blur, or mute when you need a second.

An account exists, you just don’t create it. NextFace makes one for you when you arrive. That’s what makes blocking and after-chat messages possible. On the other side of the call, people see three things about you: a nickname, an avatar, a country. The no sign-up page explains the setup.

Moderated 24/7. There’s a team on duty around the clock, and you can report or block anyone from their profile after the chat.

Free to start, then paid. Omegle was free. NextFace gives new accounts some free chats, and continuing after that costs money. We’d rather you know before you tap Start.

What NextFace is not

It isn’t Omegle, a relaunch of Omegle, or connected to Omegle’s creator in any way. We don’t use their name as ours, their design, or their logo. If you came here hoping the original was back, it isn’t, and we go through what actually happened in Is Omegle back?.

It also isn’t a matchmaking app or a social network. Nobody here is building a profile. You meet one person, you talk or you don’t, and you move on.

FAQ

Switching from Omegle

Is NextFace the same as Omegle?

No. NextFace is an independent site with no connection to Omegle or the people who ran it. It serves the same habit, one stranger at a time with a Next button, but it’s a different service with its own rules.

Do I need an account like I didn’t on Omegle?

There’s no sign-up form on NextFace either. An account is created for you automatically when you arrive, which is how the Next rule and blocking can work. The person you match with sees your nickname, avatar and country.

Is NextFace free like Omegle was?

It’s free to start. New accounts get some free chats, and after that continuing is paid. That’s a real difference from Omegle, and we’d rather say it here than have you find out inside the app.

Does NextFace have a text-only mode?

NextFace is built around video. During a chat you can turn your camera off and keep talking by voice, and you can message people after a chat ends. There isn’t a text-only roulette.

A familiar way to chat, with a different Next rule.

One stranger at a time, in your browser, no form to fill in.

NextFace is an independent service and is not affiliated with Omegle or its operators.
